Direct Invoice Billing
Giving you the power to choose your care—at potentially no cost to you
You've worked hard your entire life, and now it’s time to receive the quality support you deserve. At Sterling Health, we believe you should have the freedom to choose a care provider that meets your standards, without ever settling for mediocre home care.
Client Directed Health Care Invoicing
CDHCI
Offered through Alberta Health Services (AHS), the Client Directed Health Care Invoicing Program (CDHCI) empowers families to manage their own home care program on their own terms. It gives you the power to not only choose the provider of choice but also tailor the specific services that you need most.
Who’s Eligible?
To receive home care services, you must:
Live in Alberta and have a valid health care card;
Reside in a home that is not in a congregate setting (those living in an assisted living or long-term care setting do not qualify for home care services);
Meet the requirements determined by an AHS case manager.
Benefits of CDHCI
Direct billing from us straight to AHS so you don’t have to worry about payment.
AHS covers the full cost of approved hours for homecare
Ability to choose a care provider who is able to speak your language and is familiar with your cultural practices
Flexibility to choose to add on additional enhanced service hours if requested. (Additional hours to be paid by client)
How It Works:
At Sterling Health, you're in control of who provides your care, without the hassle of managing invoices and payments. Once approved for the Direct Home Care Program, we handle the billing directly with AHS for your approved care hours.
Unlike the Self-Managed Care program, there's no need to invoice us or maintain records for regular AHS audits. You’ll only receive a bill if you choose to add more care hours beyond your approved amount, allowing you to focus on your well-being while we take care of the rest.
Getting Started is as Easy as 1-2-3!
